This three-episode animated series and accompanying resource pack aims to help eight-to-ten year olds learn how to stay safe from sexual abuse, exploitation and other risks they might encounter online such as sharing content.

You will need to be registered on the Thinkyouknow site to access the resource.

The introduction of the Computing curriculum in England aims to equip pupils with the knowledge, understanding and skills to use information and communication technology creatively and purposefully.

A key aspect of this lies in being digitally literate. Online technologies play a huge role and so providing a broad and balanced online safety education at each key stage is vital to ensuring that pupils can navigate the online world safely and positively.

The concept of the ARCADES project was based on a 2009 Polish nation-wide programme for schools entitled Your data – your concern and the relatively high interest expressed by teachers in Poland for this programme, which inspired the Polish Data Protection Authority to transfer the idea to the European level.

The project team believes that schools should teach pupils about privacy and personal data protection. The topics related to the protection of personal data can be incorporated in the curricula of various schools’ subjects.
